Summer of Sorkin

My sister and I have decided that this shall henceforth be known as the Summer of Sorkin. And I am freaking excited. For anyone who doesn't know (which, let's face it, most people probably aren't as devoted to obscure Hollywood trivia as me, Jen, and my mom are) Aaron Sorkin is the genius behind all of my favorite shows, with the exception of Lost. First of all he produced Studio 60, which really is probably the greatest show that ever came on television... but alas, it is no longer on the air because it was too smart for the majority of the population. He produced Sports Night, an awesome show that came on a few years ago, and he wrote the movie The American President, which is one of my favorites. 

Sorkin's most well-known project is West Wing, which he wrote and produced, and which Jen and I are currently in the middle of season 1 :D This is his one project that we haven't seen, and so I'm pretty darn excited to get to watch all SEVEN seasons!! It's gonna take all summer, hence the Summer of Sorkin. Plus we'll also probably watch Studio 60 and Sports Night over and over because they are just that great. If you haven't seen any of this stuff, you should get yourself to Half Price Books (a magical place) and pick up some Sorkin. We've gotten through 7 episodes of West Wing so far, and already I feel like I have several new friends in the White House.
